What it loses to the X-T5: lower resolution (26MP vs 40MP), no IBIS, slightly less weather sealing. For everyday photography these don't matter. For landscape or real-estate work the X-T5 wins clearly.
Best Fujifilm for video and creators: Fujifilm X-S20 (€1,399)
The Fujifilm X-S20 is what I'd recommend to a creator who wants Fuji's colour science and film simulations applied to video. 26 megapixels, 6.2K open-gate recording (lets you crop both horizontal YouTube and vertical TikTok from the same take), F-Log2, IBIS, headphone monitor jack.
Around €1,399 body-only. Around €1,499 with the XC 15-45mm kit (skip this — get the body and add primes).
The X-S20 is the only Fujifilm in this guide with both IBIS and a video-focused feature set at a reasonable price. For content creators delivering across multiple platforms it's the right Fuji.
Best Fujifilm for stills: Fujifilm X-T5 (€1,799)
The Fujifilm X-T5 is the camera I'd recommend to most serious photography enthusiasts. 40 megapixels of APS-C resolution (the highest on any APS-C camera, period), IBIS rated for 7 stops, weather sealing, classic Fuji dial ergonomics, and the best in-camera colour science of any manufacturer.
Around €1,799 body-only. Pair with the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 (€699 with body) or XF 16-80mm f/4 (€849) for general work; the XF 56mm f/1.2 (€999) for portrait; the Fujinon XF 8-16mm f/2.8 (€1,799) for real estate or landscape.
The 40-megapixel sensor is genuinely transformative. For landscape photography you have full-frame-tier resolution in an APS-C body. For real estate you can shoot a single ultra-wide frame and crop into detail shots with surprising flexibility.
The catch: 40 megapixels makes RAW files large (~80MB each) and demands sharp lenses to extract the resolution. Old or budget lenses will look soft on this sensor.
Best fixed-lens Fujifilm: Fujifilm X100VI (€1,599)
The Fujifilm X100VI is the camera that doesn't fit the "interchangeable lens" model and shouldn't be on a buying guide — but is so good that it earns its place. 40-megapixel sensor (same as X-T5), built-in 23mm f/2 lens (35mm equivalent), hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder, IBIS, 4K 60fps video, and the most beautiful retro styling of any current camera.
Around €1,599. Availability is the main challenge — Fujifilm has chronically under-supplied the X100VI since launch, so be prepared to wait or pay used-market markup.
It's a complete camera for the photographer who wants one well-made tool to carry every day. For street photography, travel, and casual creative work it's uniquely good. For sports, wildlife, or anything needing telephoto reach, it's wrong by design.
Best older Fuji: Fujifilm X-A7 (€499 — being phased out)
The Fujifilm X-A7 is mentioned only because some retailers still have stock at low prices. 24 megapixels, entry-level body, no electronic viewfinder. It's old (2019) and won't get firmware updates. If you find it under €500 with a kit lens it's a cheap entry into Fuji, but the X-T30 II is the better pick at €250 more.
